I think it's a good time to mention chessvine's plans for the next year.

1. supporting the chess blog carnival in the coming year ... it was a good thing that simply died.

2. further leveraging social networking sites like facebook and myspace to get more site views. People won't read the blog if they can't find it.

3. the blog has had consistent growth but it had its largest growth after Susan mentioned it on her blog. Chessvine needs to get more strategic partners to reach a wider audience.

4. The site design seems to be attractive enough for the current viewership but some changes may be made to improve the site.

5. Last but not least more content and more contests!! Gotta love that change.

I was scouring the internet (actually finally getting a Myspace account) when I came across an ad for a chess social networking site and I thought it would be a great way to expand chessvine as well as bring chessplayers together.

I encourage you to seek it out and things may be hard at first because the community is VERRRY new but together we can make it something great!

As you can see from yesterday's post on this blog by Jack Lemoine he's trying to get the blog carnival started again. I firmly support this idea for the new year and as a consequence chessvine itself is in support of the blog carnival.
