Several months ago I received a blogroll request from jrobichess. At that time I was super swamped with too much to do. Now that the chess world is somewhat quieter I was cleaning out my inbox and found the old e-mail. It's been a long time coming but jrobichess is now being added to this site ... check 'em out!

I reported recently on this relatively new social media stream called SecondChess. Robert Pearson also mentioned this report.

The tool itself has huge potential if marketted correctly but thus far the sites management has remained unresponsive to my crys for the chess community. Little or no cost marketting could make this thing huge ... but administration is silent.

So, in that vain I have decided to hold off efforts to promote the unappreciative site and instead look into an improved version of the site. I'll be looking into gathering a team of developers interested in the subject as well as some investors ... take THAT silent SecondChess administration! mwahahaha!

SecondChess launched quite a while ago as a form of communication between chess players. Through lack of promotion the site has stagnated. SO ... what am I advocating?

A massive move toward that site! We need to not only keep it alive but make it thrive. It could rival other social media if people knew it existed. I'm asking people to get the word out. Start using it yourself, tell all your friends, post a link on facebook or other Social Media sites, offer prizes to club members who join the site. Whatever you have to do or are capable of doing! In order for chess to survive it must make this leap toward Social Media.

I support the site's effort but I have no personal involvement in the project. So, as a disinterested party I urge you to do what you can.
