I thought I should take this opportunity to relate this odd coincidence to my readers:

I just recently contacted Alexandra Kosteniuk regarding a side project I'm trying to start up and wouldn't you know that she mentioned to me that I should start that project by becoming a member of the Chess Journalists of America. Well, to be honest I've danced around CJA membership for a full year now and it's time to buckle down and seek membership. I've never considered what I do here as "journalism" because I tend to throw my opinion and commentary at just about everything. If that's journalism ... it's bad journalism. I suppose I could begin producing impartial news reporting articles every now and again to earn the title of Journalist ... but it's just more fun to be opinionated.

At any rate, the 'coincidence' is that just after that conversation with Alexandra The list of Awards from the CJA were published at Chess Life Online. Coincidence? I'd prefer to think of it as fate.
