Even if it is not regular, an occasional carnival showcasing the chess blogging talent out there is a good thing.

Here's the chess carnival's page. It also lists past chess carnivals. The Blog Carnival label also shows the history of this.

If you blog on chess, then showcase your work in the carnival. It will publish on 2/1/10.

----------

On a related topic:
If you blog on other subjects, then check out the many blog carnivals out there. These carnivals cover a broad range of areas of interest. Blog Carnivals have become one of the many resources for bloggers to promote their work and for the public to search for quality blogs.

I began the Chess Blog Carnival 2 years ago when I discovered that there was none for chess.

The February 15, 2009 Edition of the Chess Carnival was very successful in spite of being hosted at chessvine this time around. A big thanks goes to all the participants and the winners in each category are presented below.

Annotated Games

George Duval presents New York 1924: Savielly Tartakower and the Bronx Zoo

Chess Culture and Politics

Mark Weeks presents Useless Stats/Qs about Ratings

Chess Events

James R. West presents Jim West On Chess: Guido van der Werve at Marshall CC

Humor

David Evans presents Good luck, bonne chance, buena suerte!

Opening Theory

Rolling Pawns presents Are you afraid of the Marshall attack?

I look forward to the next Edition but Jack Le Moine hasn't sent me a deadline or to be honest told me if Chessvine is hosting the carnival again. When I know something I'll pass it on! I enjoyed reading the submissions and everything went very smoothly except for the plethora of poker entries. Poker enthusiasts can take comfort ... your entries were deleted without being read.

Submit your Chess blog articles for the next edition of the Chess Carnival

Past posts and future hosts can be found on the blog carnival index page
