This is to some degree "old news" as it happened earlier in the week but I'm still happy for my man, Magnus. He showed his pain and joy during the event and I think the important lesson for the amateur is that even those beneath you can give you a headache (see photo).

London has finally brought a major tournament to light after a hiatus ... the London Chess Classic 2009.

The Top seeds for the event are slated to be Carlsen, Kramnik, and Nakamura.
