  1. In a game of Blitz, was Kasporov's last move really so incredibly bad? Yes, it caused him to lose the game, but was his demise as a result of that move so foreseeable that very few great chess players would have committed that blunder in a game of BLITZ?

  2. Gary was really beaten by old father time?!
Probably the greatest player ever and a guru on AI but I disagree with his thesis that modern players know so much more than their predecessors and would therefore beat them.
I personally would favour Alekhine in any equal middle game and Capa and Smyslov in an equal endgame. And AlphaZero seems to play quite a bit like the sacrificial Tal we know and love!

  3. Most of my games are me blundering in the opening and then resigning 😂 glad to see even grandmasters do it sometimes

  4. Why not 7… b6 to stop the attack on the rook? It looks (to me) like Kasparov stays in the game, which perhaps continues with 8.exd4 Qb4 9.Re1+ Kd8 or something…

  5. This could be agadmator's shortest video! We have Kasparov to thank for that.
Congrats to Mamedyarov. Put this on your resume!

  6. It's happened to us all! Anyone who has been out of the game so long can lose! Never play black as The QGA!

  7. People here are trolling Kasparov. I feel sad because I never knew you can judge a chess player by just one game. He was a world champion guys! Remember.

  8. I checkmated lots of opponents in 7 moves after they accepted my Blackbourne Shilling Gambit

  9. You know what, if you've been a great like Kasparov, you've earned the right to have a few off games. He should be enjoying his retirement but he's still giving us entertainment, and in classical he's probably not making this move!

  10. Official game log: 7. 0-0 1—0

Casual observer: Ah, I see you've made a mistake, you meant to write "7. 0-0 0-0"

Official game log: No, check again…
