The Berlin FIDE Grand Prix is the 16-player first of three legs of the 24-player 2022 FIDE Grand Prix that qualifies two players to the Candidates Tournament. Each player competes in two of the three tournaments, with the 16 players divided into four groups who play a double round-robin. The group winners advance to a knockout. Tiebreaks at any stage are played on the following day. Players can earn a maximum of 13 points for winning a leg.

Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. In case of a tie a 15+10 two-game match is played. If still tied, a 3+2 two-game match follows and then, if needed, an Armageddon game, where White has 5 minutes to Black’s 4, but a draw counts as a win for Black. If more than two players are tied a round-robin tiebreak is played. Official website:

  1. Speaking as a triggered OCD, I wonder how many others are loosing their minds right now trying to figure out if he’s really sorry or not…

  2. That's why I watch all your videos, its just your raw opinions and thoughts with solid analysis of the game.

  3. Dubov has become my favorite player over the last year. The fact that he has the balls to try these off-beat ideas vs super GMs is like a gift from him to us as casual players. Much love for Danil always keeping things interesting. This guy is truly authentic and I have a lot of respect for that.

  4. "I imagine it was a very difficult time for you." I love your sense of humour Agad. xD

  5. What is a 'Dubov move/idea' ? I hear that phase quite a bit. Can someone please explain? Thanks.

  6. That’s dubov only appears against mid level players cuz of his non pragmatic style. But who cares people like to watch his games on youtube 😻😻

  7. i like lots of channels but yours is the best. shows the best moves without any flim flam

  8. Such a gentleman apologizing for the misalignment. Agamator is class through and through. 🙂

  9. Dubov's problem was that his attacking knights weren't connected, meaning they didn't protect each other. Yes, it gave them more squares to threaten, but it also leaves them vulnerable. He was undone because all lines lead to his knights hanging without compensation, or other untenable positions like the one that resulted in his resignation.

  10. I always go crazy whenever I see Dubov and Kaymer fight on the board. Feels like an engine match wherein both players attack like crazy. Thanks Agad for this 🎉

  11. I did not realized either until I've watched this video, the game had perfectly clear view nonetheless, and the enjoyment was assured! Thanks for your great videos and congratutations! Muchas gracias!
