  1. Levy: I'm gonna teach you some principled lines useful for beginners

    First game…

Also Levy: attacks opponent with pawns in front of his uncastled king

  2. I was wondering if it is possible to play this defense but reversed, against e4 we would play Nc6, d6 and Bg4

  3. Gotham. Can you do a video on the Queen's Indian Defence? It came up in your video and I would like to know a bit more about it. Love your videos and they have helped me get back into chess after an excessive break.

  4. Hey, at 14:06 when you say you blundered the bishop, couldnt you block the check with your knight and at the same time protect the bishop from the queen? Maybe i am missing something

  5. I know the clock was almost up but I would’ve loved to see where that game with Knight would’ve went. They were really putting up a good fight!

  6. In a recent video, Gotham was asking subscribers to suggest what content they wanted. As far as I'm concerned, I want this format wherein theres just a basic beginning and then some demo matches. When chess tutorials go for in depth analysis, I tend to lose track. I assume it's difficult for non professional players like me to remember so many lines. This format gives me something to start with and then hopefully build on this foundation.

  7. This is in the e6 b6 course right? I have that course along with 4 others. I've studied the Caro course the most for black. But Levy's E6 B6 course is so much more in depth, well worth it if you like the indian set ups.

  8. very good, instructive video, thanks gotham! also could u do an opening video on the sicilian accelerated dragon variation

  9. I always love these videos when you make them! I've needed a response to the queen's gambit for a few months, and now I have one, so thanks. 🙂

  10. Hey Levi, I'm not sure if you'll read this but might as well leave the comment for if you do.

I loved the approach you took in the theory section of this video. You show the "best path forward" while highlighting where more advanced players need to learn the theory, And also showing moves that are more suitable if the goal is just having an easy to play position.

Recommending GM games with the position is very good too! Thank you for the video, I'll try this next time someone plays the Queen's Gambit against me (I'm usually a Slav player but want to change it up a bit).

  11. i love your content levy i like your yt channel and you for beeing so kind thank you

  12. "Chess has to get played" sounds like if we all stopped playing chess for too long we'd allow a demon into the mortal world

  13. I have a tournament in 2 days and I have it the first thing I am back from vacation. Not sure if I will attend but I never had a good weapon against d4. I want to avoid the queen's Gambit. Thanks for the video Levy!
